GAIL’s bakery are set to fill the space left being by Patisserie Valerie in Reading.

The bread-makers has plastered the building on the corner of Broad Street with posters announcing its arrival ‘soon’.

Patisserie Valerie closed for good at the beginning of August after failing to negotiate the terms of a new lease.

The company said they were ‘keeping a close eye out’ for other properties in the area.

GAIL’s, which first opened in London in 2005, offers bread, pastries, cakes, breakfasts and lunches.

This will be the 80th store in the country, with many already in London, Oxford and Brighton.
