Plans for a new Indian restaurant to open at a bustling mall in Reading are moving ahead.
The restaurant called ‘Bombay Brothers’ is gearing up to open in The Village, which is best known to people in Reading as Kings Walk.
It will occupy Unit 4 of the mall, which is on the ground floor, close to other new entrants Banh Mi QB, a Vietnamese restaurant, and Ji The Chicken Shop, which serves Asian style fried chicken.
Ahead of opening, the people behind Bombay Brothers applied to sell alcohol on and off premises from 10am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
The licence application has been approved by Reading Borough Council.
It is unclear what date Bombay Brothers will open.

The Village is fast becoming a dining destination, with a series of new restaurants opening in recent years.
They include Ding Tea, My Warsaw Polish street food and the High Spirits Cocktail company.
A dessert eatery The Churros Kitchen is also due to open in The Village soon.
It is possible that Bombay Brothers will be competing with Chilis, another Indian restaurant that will occupy the unit previously held by the Art of Siam, which closed in 2016.
Friends United Limited, Chilis operating company, have applied to open and sell alcohol on premises 9am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
