Police issue section 60 order following 'a fight' near Reading
A section 60 order was put in place in Southcote late last night after ‘reports of a fight’ in the area, according to police.
Thames Valley Police confirmed on social media that the incident occurred in Honey End Lane and Bath Road.
This has given the police extended powers to stop and search people in a specific area which is shown in the map below.
In their social media post, TVP Reading said: “The order began at 11:10pm on Thursday and will be in place for 12 hours.”
This stop and search order however can be extended if required.
