The trial of a man accused of killing a 46-year-old is set to open today.
Nyiah Williams, of Hadrian Walk East, Reading, is charged with the murder of Duane Denny, from Oxford Road.
The victim was found dead in Erith, London, on September 15, 2021, after he was reported missing in August 2021.
Williams has pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder. He has also denied charges of preventing a lawful burial and perverting the course of justice.
Proceedings got underway at Reading Crown Court yesterday (Monday) as a jury panel was sworn in.
However, the trial is yet to fully open, with the prosecution, led by Miranda Moore KC, expected to open its case against Williams today (Tuesday).
Williams is represented by John Price KC.
The trial continues.
