Two curry houses in Reading have been nominated for Restaurant of the Year.
Jalpari of Woodley and Burghfield Spices are among the finalists for the south central award at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA).
The winners will be announced at a red-carpet event in the InterContinental Hotel in London on October 2.

Hosted by Samantha Simmonds, Journalist and Broadcaster, and Paul Martin, Magician and member of the Magic Circle, the awards are in recognition of the UK’s best South Asian cuisine.
ARTA will spotlight the best of more than 2,370 restaurants and takeaways across the UK that were nominated by restaurant goers and food lovers.
The ARTA awards are in celebration and recognition of Britain’s vibrant Asian restaurants and takeaways and offered solidarity and morale for the industry which is currently facing headwinds including with the high cost of energy, inflation, and the impact from the pandemic.
