Reported Reading target Fabian Delph has announced his retirement from football.
The 32-year-old was a free agent after his release from Everton over the summer, and rumours had been circling that the Royals were one of many Championship clubs interested in taking on the midfielder.
However, he has put those to bed by officially ending his playing career.

On social media, he said: "He announced on social media: "So today I announce my retirement with nothing but happiness and gratitude for what this beautiful game has given me. Massive shout out to my family, friends, players and staff from the amazing clubs I have been fortunate enough to represent as well as the support I have had from the fans."
Making his name with Leeds United, he is best known for his six-year association with Premier League outfit Aston Villa in which he captained the side to an FA Cup Final.
Controversially leaving the Midlands shortly after stating that he was going nowhere, he won two Premier League titles with Pep Guardiola's giants.
Earning 20 caps for England along the way, the Yorkshireman enjoyed a successful career but endured an injury-hit spell at the Goodison Park outfit before hanging up his boots.
