TWO elderly pedestrians have been killed after a car crash in Tilehurst on Thursday morning.
Police officers were called at 10.50am with a report of a crash involving a car and two pedestrians in Park Lane, at the junction of Mayfair yesterday, October 6.
The two pedestrians, a 94-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The single vehicle collision involved a silver Mercedes A170.

We're currently dealing with a road traffic collision in Tilehurst.
As a result there are road closures on Mayfair at the junction with Landsdowne Road as well as Park Lane at the junction of Chapel Hill and Berkshire Drive.

The driver, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital and is suffering wtih serious injuries. He remains there at this time.
Police said the pedestrians next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Police are appealing for witnesses or information following the collision.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Nigel Doyle, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We’d also ask anyone with dash-cams who was in the area around the time of the collision to check any footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation."
