A nation-wide Japanese restaurant is rumoured to be opening its doors in The Oracle later this year.
According to a post on social media, the new counter-service restaurant, will transform the former Pizza Hut into an open style kitchen noddle bar.
Marugame Udon is a world-wide brand with 12,5000 sites globally including Asia and the US.
The opening date has been posted online between October 1 and December 31 2022.

The post on social media said: “The new counter-service restaurant will transform the former pizza hut, bringing it’s open-style kitchen to The Oracle where customers can customise bowls of freshly made udon noodles and choose their own freshly fried tempura.”
A statement online from the company said: "Marugame Udon, the authentic Japanese udon noodle restaurant group led by Keith Bird and backed by Capdesia in the UK, has secured a site in Reading at The Oracle scheme which is due to open late 2022, and a further site in Bromley expected to open this winter."
Marugame Udon have already started to advertise jobs for their new Reading branch.
