Police are appealling for witnesses after a teenager was sexually assaulted in the early hours of this morning (8/10).
At around 1am on Saturday, October 8 the woman in her late teens was walking along London Road when she was grabbed from behind.
The offender then proceeded to touch the victim’s chest over her clothing. After shouting for help, the attention was caught by members of the public nearby.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Rachel Belsher, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forwards.

The offender has been described as a slim mixed-race man between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10 ins in his late thirties early forties. He is said to have light brown eyes, black curly hair and a short dark beard that was pointed at the bottom.
Police said that he was wearing dark clothing including a slim puffa-style jacket.
Detective Belsher added: “Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43220451662.
