An arsonist set fire to a BMW X5 near Reading.

The car was found on a grass verge in Bourne Road, Pangbourne, at 4.45am yesterday.

Fire crews attended the scene, but the vehicle was burnt out.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Stuart Streeter, based at Newbury police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who may have seen anything, or any camera footage in the area or any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.
