A 28-year-old Thatcham man must pay more than £1,000 for dumping commercial waste near Reading.
Carlton Pike, of Westfield Crescent, deposited green waste, soil and plastic packaging in land next to Well Street, Burghclere, with a permit.

At Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Monday he pleaded guilty to the offence, which occurred on April 12, 2019, and was fined £640.

The judge ordered him to pay costs of £700 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £64.
Pike has until November 14 to pay the full amount, £1,404.
