SKI huts and winter drinks will make up a Christmas themed pop-up bar opening at The Oracle Riverside in Reading tonight.
Throughout the year, a themed pop-up bar is set up on the south bank of River Kennet at The Oracle.
During the summer, the bar had a beach house theme that has since been changed to fit in with the winter climes.
Guests can meet and go for drinks with friends at the bar and can book out in themed ski huts, with room for up to 10 people for two hour periods.
Drinkers can enjoy seasonal drinks such as mulled wine, winter cocktails, hot chocolates, and German beer from the bar.
Staff at The Oracle said the pop-up bar and area should be open after 3pm today (Friday, November 4), and will run until New Year’s Eve (December 31).
The opening has been made possible after a successful licensing application to Reading Borough Council.
The licence allows for the pop up bar to have live music outdoors Monday to Sunday 12pm to 11pm, play recorded music outdoors Sunday to Thursday 12pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 11.30pm, and provide late night refreshment such as hoot food and drinks, indoors and outdoors from 11pm to 11.30pm each night.
Furthermore, alcoholic drinks can be sold on site from 11am to 10.30pm Monday to Thursday, 11am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11am to 10pm on Sundays.
At the beach hut pop-up in the summer, security guards were posted on entry to the area operating a Challenge 25 ID policy.
