The draw for the third round of the FA Youth Cup will pit Reading up against three-time winners Everton.
The Merseyside outfit, last winners in 1998 but finalists in 2002, are managed by former captain Leighton Baines.
The furthest the Royals have reached is the semi-final, going out to Fulham in 2014, 5-4 on aggregate.
Last season Manchester United won their record 11th title, pulling two clear of Chelsea in second.
Managed by Reading legend Mikele Leigertwood, the Red Devils knocked the Royals out on route to their title, winning 3-1 at the SCL Stadium.
The likes of Kelvin Abrefa, Jahmari Clarke and Ben Purcell, all of which have made their first team debuts, featured on the night.
The tie is due to take place Saturday, December 17.
