The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

November 8

AKWINDER DHNOAYA, 34, of Buckingham Avenue East, Slough, admitted drink-driving a Mercedes in Maidenhead Road, Windsor on May 29, 2022. Dhnoaya consumed enough alcohol to produce 85mcg in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £800. Disqualified from driving for 21 months, reduced by 21 weeks if a course is undertaken. Must pay £620 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £80.


STEPHEN MAYO, 45, of Horseshoe Crescent, Reading, admitted drink-driving a Ford Fiesta in Thatcham on October 5, 2022, in Harts Hill Road. Consumed enough alcohol to produce 51mcg in 100 millilitres of breath, the legla limit being 35mcg. Fined £346. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Must pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £138.


DAVID PEARCE, 27, of Acre Drive, Finchwood Park, admitted possession of cannabis on October 7, 2022, in Wokingham. Fined £100. Drugs destroyed. Must pay costs of £85.


AARON BOARDMAN, 32, of London Road, Reading, admitted driving an Audi at 80 miles per hour in a 40mph-zone on the A33 in Reading and admitted drink-driving on October 7, 2022. Boardman consumed enough alcohol to produce 83mcg of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Disqualified for 36 months. Fined £691. Must pay £75 in court costs and a £276 victim surcharge.

November 9

IAN JONES, 38, of Queen Street, Newbury, admitted assaulting a police officer on April 16, 2022 in Newbury. Fined £200. Must pay £300 in compensation, £85 in court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.


DANIEL NEWMAN, 40, of Goodall Close, Henley-On-Thames, admitted driving an Audi in Henley Road, Caversham on March 18, 2022, while under the influence of cannabis. Disqualified from driving for 36 months. Sentenced to 200 hours unpaid work. Must partake in rehabilitation activity for up to a maximum of 20 days. Must pay court costs of £85.


ANDREW GAINEY, 34, of 48 Northway, Newbury, convicted for stealing perfume worth £251.98 from Boots the Chemist in Newbury on September 5, 2022 while subject to a community order. Sentenced to a total of 12 weeks in prison.


TOMASZ WEISS, 33, of no fixed abode, admitted assaulting a police constable on September 6, 2022 in Maidenhead and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence on the same day in Slough. Sentenced to a total of 25 weeks in prison. Must pay court costs of £86.
