Mulberry Cottage is steeped in history, dating back to the 16th century itself on a plot of land in Exlade Street first written about in 1241.
A Neolithic flit tranchet was discovered in the garden of the cottage dating back to 3,000 BC, which is now displayed in Reading Museum.
The detached four bedroom property is on offer for £1.5m, with a huge lawn, patio, terraces and seating areas.
There are mature trees, shrubbery and hedging and an orchard too in its 0.62 acres.
The Cottage as has been increased in size to include four reception rooms, kitchen, utility and ground floor shower room.

Throughout are structural and decorative exposed beams, open fireplace, little nooks and low ceilings in places.
