Former Reading midfielder Leandro Bacuna has joined Championship rivals Watford.
The Curacao international, best known for spells with Aston Villa and Cardiff City, played 66 times for the Royals between 2017 and 2019.
A regular under Jaap Stam and Paul Clement, he scored four goals before departing to join the Bluebirds in January 2019 for a fee rumoured to be in excess of £3m.
Without a club this season until now, he signs a deal with the Hornets until the end of the season.
Suffering with injuries, the 31-year-old Dutch-born star is expected to be thrown straight in for Saturday's clash with Huddersfield Town.
Known for being a fiery character, he has been sent off for every club he has played for, including twice for the Royals in his 18-month spell.
He could face his former side twice in the space of a month after Christmas, with Reading hosting Watford in the FA Cup and the league season in January and February.
