A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Reading town centre.

The day-time attack happened in Market Place, about 2pm on December 19. 

Thames Valley Police believe the incident started outside Costa Coffee on Broad Street before continuing to Market Place where the man was stabbed.

The force said the man, aged in his twenties, was rushed to hospital with stab wounds to his neck and face. He has since been discharged.

A man has been arrested and subsequently charged in connection with this incident.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Laura Corscadden, of Reading CID, said: "I would like any witnesses who saw or heard any part of the incident to get in touch.

“Also, if you have any CCTV cameras in the areas described or were driving there and have a dash-cam, and you haven’t already come forward, please check your recordings in case you captured anything that could aid us and let us know if you have.
