A NUMBER of households in Reading were left without water on Christmas evening after reported issues with water treatment works in the area.
Several homes in RG2 and RG7 were reported to have lost their water supplies due to the issues.
Thames Water engineers were called to Fobney Treatment Works near Reading on the evening of Christmas Day to try to restore water for customers as soon as possible.
In a tweeton Boxing Day morning, Thames Water confirmed the issue had been resolved.
It said: "Water supply has been restored overnight but some low pressure may be experienced today whilst we refill the network.
"Thank you for your patience while we've been working to get things back to normal."
