A GIRL who disappeared over the Christmas period has been found safe and well.
Lyla Lake, 13, was last seen at Reading train station and was reported missing from her home in Simmons Walk, Basingstoke, on December 21.
She was caught on CCTV at Reading train station at around 9.57pm that day.
Hampshire Constabulary officers have now located the girl who has been found safe and well.
Police said: "We're pleased to tell you that 13-year-old Lyla, who was missing from Basingstoke, has been found safe.
"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeals and contacted us with information."
