Reading summer trialist Connor Wickham is once again a free agent after leaving League One bottom side Forest Green.
The 29-year-old former Academy striker spent the summer working with the Royals and Paul Ince, finding the back of the net in a couple of the behind-closed-doors friendlies.
The club opted not to pursue the former Ipswich Town and Sunderland striker, with forward options including Shane Long, Andy Carroll and Lucas Joao.
We can confirm that Connor Wickham has left Forest Green Rovers after his contract expired.

Joining the newly-promoted Rovers shortly after, Wickham netted nine goals in 20 appearances for the Gloucestershire outfit, but has departed following the expiration of his contract.
It is Wickham's best goal return in a season since 2010/11 with the Tractor Boys, with Sunderland paying £8m for the forward in the following summer.
'FGR' are bottom of League One in their debut season at the level, but are only two points adrift of safety.
It is thought that several clubs in the third and second tiers are looking at the former England Under-21 international.
