Reading are interested in taking Liverpool youngster Leighton Clarkson on loan for the rest of the season, reports claim.
The 21-year-old, currently on loan with Scottish side Aberdeen, has made a big impression at Pittodre and the Dons are keen to keep the FA Youth Cup winner north of the border.
However, according to FootyInsiders, Paul Ince is keen on bringing the midfielder to Berkshire.
The report claims that West Brom and Queens Park Rangers are also interested in bringing the Red back down south.
Spending a period on loan with Blackburn Rovers last campaign, Clarkson has experience of the Championship.
With five loans already in the squad, and a maximum quota of 25 players, the Royals would need to move players on before bringing any in.
The England Under-20 star has already made three appearances for Jurgen Klopp's first team at Anfield, including a start in the Champions League in 2020/21.
