Former Reading defender Sean Morrison could make a Berkshire return after joining Championship strugglers Rotherham United.
The 32-year-old has spent the last eight years with Cardiff City, six of them as captain, making almost 300 appearances as the Bluebirds tasted Premier League and regular Championship success.
After sustaining a long-term injury, the Welsh outfit kept the defender on while he continued rehab, but he was released this month.
Matt Taylor's Millers, currently hovering above the relegation zone in 21st, brought the Plymouth native in on a deal until the end of the current season.
Morrison, who came through Swindon Town's academy, played 45 times for the Royals from 2011 until 2014.
A large character, he doesn't always receive a glowing reception upon his previous returns to RG2.
The Yorkshire club visit the SCL Stadium on Valentine's Day (February 14), with Paul Ince's side looking to avenge a 4-0 defeat in August.
