A number of big cat sightings have been reported recently, with many indicating that there may be a wild cat on the outskirts of Reading.
Last week lorry driver Joe Ashford was driving on the M4, southeast of Reading when he says he saw what he describes as a 'large cat'.
He described the animal as a "small leopard with hyena-like colours".
The sighting is reported to have happened last Wednesday, January 25.
A second person has now got in touch with the Chronicle, reporting a sighting on the same stretch of road.
Isaac Latchman said: "I’ve seen the same big cat in the woodland areas between Junction 11 and 12 on the M4.
"I’ve seen it early morning on two occasions.
"I thought it may be owned by a private keeper but I’m unsure - there is definitely a huge cat roaming near Reading with cougar-like colours."
Last year a group of investigators known as Big Cats of Chilterns received a report of a sighting on Wednesday, October 19 near Amersham in neighbouring Buckinghamshire.
It was described as being a “large Labrador-sized black cat”.
A similar sighting of a "panther" was also reported on Tuesday, October 11 in Padgate and days later a resident captured footage on their doorbell camera of what looked like a big cat roaming the streets.
