Construction of the new Shinfield Studios has seen overwhelming progress over the last few months according to recent bird-eye images.

The site, located in Wokingham Borough, was approved in October 2021 and once completed will be one of the UK’s largest film studios at 85,000 square metres.

‘Phase two’ of  Shinfield Studios in Thames Valley Science Park isnearing completion, where it will provide 18 sound stages for use by film and TV production companies. 

A leading film production company is currently in residence in the 4 sound stages, offices and workshops of Phase 1.

MP Sir John Redwood visited Shinfield Studios which are in construction in Thames Valley Science Park to see the progress.

Sir John said: "Shinfield Studios have been attracted to our area by the talented workforce available in surrounding towns and villages, and by the good access from the motorway nearby.

"I wish them every success as they go about completing the buildings and welcoming those who come here to make their films. There was filming action in a completed studio on Friday which we did not disturb."

Once completed, Each building will be a large box structure with well insulated double walls to ensure silence inside when needed for recording, with good eaves height to allow sets and plenty of hanging lighting.
