A MAN has been jailed for a year and a half after leaving the scene of an accident involved three cars in Reading.
Luke Spencer, 44, of Lyndhurst Road in Reading, was sentenced today (February 15) at Reading Crown Court after leaving the scene of the incident on January 7.
The accident took place on Rose Kiln Lane near Berkley Avenue between Spencer’s vehicle, a Mercedes CLC, and two other cars, a Land Rover and a Ford Focus.

Spencer was asked to stop by a Thames Valley Police constable in uniform but instead left the incident.
For this offence, judge Sarah Campbell sentenced him to 16 months imprisonment and a disqualification from driving for two years and eight months.
He was also sentenced to 18 months imprisonment to run concurrently for using his vehicle without third party insurance.
A further two month prison sentence to run consecutively was given for a failure to provide a specimen for analysis to police with a further one month driving disqualification.

He was also caught driving without a licence but faced no separate penalty for this.
After pleading guilty, Spencer’s total disqualification from driving is two years with an extension of nine months.
