A MAN who was due to face trial charged with kidnap, rape and causing actual bodily harm has instead pleaded guilty.
Brian Ncube, of Stokingway Close, Plymouth, was due to appear in Reading Crown Court yesterday (February 27) but instead the trial has now cracked.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and of false imprisonment.

The incidents, some of which took place in Reading according to police, include assault by beating, engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour and stalking involving serious alarm/distress which happened between October 10, 2021 and February 11, 2022.
Ncube was arrested by Thames Valley Police in February last year. He will be sentenced at a later date atthe same court.
