TWO men have been arrested after officers saw them with a machete in Reading today (February 27).
The incident happened in George Street at about 2.20pm which saw the street and Oxford Road closed off by police.
The men, both in their 20s, have been arrested and remain in custody.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Officers saw two men with a machete in George Street, Reading at 2.20pm today.
“Officers followed them to Oxford Road where officers, supported by armed officers, detained the men and seized the weapon.
“Two men in their twenties, both from Reading, were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They remain in custody.”
