Snow could soon be covering the area as the Met Office has announced a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in London and the south east of England.
The warning, which starts at 9pm tonight (March 6) is set to last until 10am tomorrow (March 7).
The Met Office has warned that ice and some snow could lead to difficult travel conditions.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: "Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
There are expected to be "some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces" and "icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
Gritters are expected to be out across the county to ensure roads are safe for motorists.
The forecast in Berkshire shows clouds and rain moving eastwards across the area today with some brighter spells possible this afternoon, along with some showers, before the clouds thicken again this evening.
Temperatures will hit highs of 8°C but a breeze will make it feel much colder.
Tonight there will be outbreaks of rain turning wintry over hills and perhaps to lower levels later, with some icy patches developing in places by morning.
Temperatures are expected to fall to -1°C.
Tuesday will see temperatures continuing to fall with thicker clouds, rain and snow moving southwards during the morning.
Tomorrow there will be highs of 5°C in the area and lows of -3°C.
Wednesday will remain cold with increasing clouds, with periods of rain, sleet and snow possible.
Temperatures are expected to turn milder with rain and stronger winds Thursday and Friday.
