Two classic cars were reportedly vandalised at a farm on the outskirts of Reading this month whilst undergoing restorations.
The Classic Standard 8, popular between 1938 and 1955, suffered damage to its exterior when blue paint was poured over the roof and into the seals. The car, which belonged to an elderly driver also sustained irreparable damage to its wheels when nails were drilled into the tyres.
The other car that was damaged was a Saab 9.3. The Saab sustained multiple cuts to the roof and damage to all four tyres.
Rachael Quinlan said: “Our two cars were parked in Nuthatch Farm, Checkendon, READING, RG8 0SX when they were deliberately vandalised.
“There was one very special classic Standard 8 which we were doing up for my 87 year old father who is currently having hip surgery.
“The car was his pride and joy and it was at the farm for work to be carried out on it.
“The other was a family car Saab 9.3. This was a family car and was relied on to take children to school and travel to work.”
According to the family, the cars were vandalised on the evening of Tuesday, March 7.
A spokesman from Thames Valley Police said: “Thames Valley Police was called to a report of criminal damage that happened over night between 7 and 8 March.
“The investigation has been filed pending further information coming to light.
