A Tilehurst pub celebrates a £400k renovation with grand reopening party, this weekend.
The Prince pub has reopened its familiar doors to the public after a major investment and makeover to the interior and exterior.
Reading residents and visitors are invited to join the team for a grand launch party this weekend (Saturday March, 18), where there will a live DJ.
Operator, Michelle Peterson, said: "I am so thrilled to share the improved pub with our regulars following the investment. The pub has always been at the centre of my community, and I remember coming here with my grandad, Albert, when I was little. Now, the new look, extra seating areas and drinks offers will help attract even more customers."
A new heated, outdoor area now features comfortable furniture, a patio and arbour, and a big screen HD TV.
Seven new HD screens have also been added to the bar and will regularly show Sky and BT Sports – an important addition to a pub where football is a favourite in the community.
Michelle’s four children are also looking forward to activities at The Prince. Her two eldest sons, Rocco and McKenzie, are key members of the pub’s Pool team and also anticipate playing some gripping Darts tournaments on the pub’s new board.

Entertainment will be provided for everyone with bingo and racing days during the week, live music, tribute bands, and board games for good old-fashioned fun.
Fundraising for Cancer and Dementia charities also feature on the pub’s agenda as Michelle is keen that the tradition of fundraising continues. She said: "We raised £250 for Children in Need last year and our fundraising will go from strength to strength in the future."
This investment has been made by award-winning company, Craft Union, whose wide range of offers and products will bolster the future of The Prince.
