A READING man has been cleared of rape after a trial at Reading Crown Court.
Daniel Tyler, of Drovers Way in Woodley, was charged with one count of digital penetration and one count of rape.
The court heard that the 37-year-old had allegedly assaulted a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, during a social gathering in May 2018 despite her saying ‘no’ and ‘physically pushing him away’.

However, a twelve-strong jury cleared Mr Tyler of both charges after a weeklong trial.
The court heard Mr Tyler tell police in a prepared police statement that ‘everything was completely consensual’.
