A HOUSEBOAT in Reading was broken into and several electrical goods and tools were stolen.
The incident took place yesterday (March 17) between 7.45am and 1pm on a houseboat moored on the River Thames footpath behind the Tesco superstore in Napier Road.
An offender, or offenders, gained entry to the houseboat through a window before stealing a number of items including electrical goods and tools.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jen Cox, based at Reading police station, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who thinks they could have witnessed this, or who has any information which could help our investigation.”
