A BUS has collided into a road island in Woodley this evening (March 23).
At about 6pm, the Reading Buses vehicle crashed into the island off Howth Drive, breaking a street light before coming to a stop on the pavement.
The driver of the bus has been taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital as a precaution but no other injuries have been reported. An eyewitness said no one was walking along the pavement at the time.

Engineers were called to help remove the vehicle and police are in attendance to help direct traffic.
It is unknown what caused the collision.
