A YOUNG man is due to stand trial after being charge with the rape of a woman in Reading.
Craig Chadwick appeared in Reading Magistrates Court on Wednesday (April 5) morning for the first time.
The 23-year-old has been charged with the offence which allegedly occurred on September 12, 2021.

He will now appear in Reading Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on May 5 at 10am.
Chadwick will remain on unconditional bail until the next hearing but has been ordered not to contact the complainant, who cannot be named for legal reason, during this time.
