The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

January 24:

HAIDER QURESHI, 26, of Greenfields, Maidenhead, was find guilty of driving without insurance on December 11 last year in Taplow. He was also found to be driving while he was disqualified. He was sent to prison for 26 weeks.

ROMEO ZINGWE, 25, of Fairwater Drive, Woodley, pleaded guilty to drink driving on June 20 last year in Wokingham with namely 307 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine. He was also found to be driving while disqualified and to be driving the vehicle dangerously. He was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison and was ordered to complete 25 days of rehabilitation activity.

RAYMOND SIMMS, 68, of Third Avenue, Ravenswing Park, Aldermaston, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on June 7 last year. He was ordered to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity.

ADAM STEER, 32, of Oxford Road, Reading, was guilty of possessing a quantity of Class B drugs – namely cannabis – on September 15 last year. He was given a conditional period of discharge for six months and order was made for the drugs to be destroyed. He was also made to pay £40 in court costs and a £26 victim surcharge.

CRISTIN BOBOLOT, 46, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of stealing two bottles of wine to the value of £16 from M&S in Bracknell on September 26 last year. He was given a conditional period of discharge for six months and made to pay £85 in court costs and a £26 victim surcharge.

TERRENCE NEWITT, 57, of Longs Way, Wokingham, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on December 22 last year in Wokingham. He was given a period of conditional discharge for six months. He was also ordered to pay a £26 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

ASHLEY REED-JONES, 25, of Ashridge Road, Wokingham, was found guilty of stealing a £400 pedal cycle on November 4 last year. They were imprisoned for 20 weeks. They were also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.

STANLEY ASH, 24, of Greyberry Copse Road, Greenham, Thatcham, was found guilty of drug driving on March 15 in Newbury last year. He was fined £460 and his driving licence was endorsed with 10 penalty points.

PIER MELIS, 53, of Erleigh Court Gardens, Earley, was found guilty of assaulting an emergency worker in Reading on September 2, damaging a phone valuing £63.99 and driving a motor vehicle dangerously. He was given a community order of 19 days, made to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and has been disqualified from driving for 12 months.

HARDEV DHALIWAL, 53, of The Green, Bracknell, was found guilty of assault by beating, harassment and resisting arrest on June 25 last year. He was given 14-week jail sentenced suspended for 12 months. He was also made to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and to pay court costs of £85.
