A READING man has received a prison sentence after assaulting a woman.
Ben Lyden, of Helmsdale Close, was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday (April 28).
The 35-year-old was given an 18-month jail sentenced suspended for two years for the offence which happened on November 20 last year.

Lyden was also ordered to undergo alcohol abstinence monitoring for 120 days and to comply with electronic monitoring for six months.
He will also need to complete 30 days of programme requirement and 20 days of rehabilitation activity days.
