THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in South East England today (Tuesday, May 9), likely to cause disruption to travel and flooding.
Buckinghamshire and Berkshire can expect heavy showers and thunderstorms today between 11am and 10pm.
The Met Office have said that heavy showers and thunderstorms move across southern and eastern parts of England during the afternoon and evening.
The weather service have said their is it likely that the poor weather will cause travel disruptions and longer journeys.
It has warned that the weather could cause flooding and damage if struck by lightening.
Some areas may also have loss of power throughout the day.

- Hampshire
- Isle of Wight

- Medway
- Milton Keynes
- Oxfordshire
- Portsmouth

- Surrey
- West Berkshire
- West Sussex
- Windsor and Maidenhead
- Wokingham
The Met Office have issued several resources and advice on how to be safe today.
If you are caught out, driving, in thunder and lightning it is advised that you wind up the windows and stay inside your car.
Hail storms can be dangerous to drive in reducing your ability to see and be seen. If hail is severe, stop and pull over to a safe place and remain inside the vehicle, the Met Office says.
