The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

February 6:

MERCEDES SHAW, 21, of The Slopes, Caversham, was found guilty of assaulting a police constable on April 7 last year. She was referred for 12 months of mental health treatment and 12 days of rehabilitation activity.

LEE MARSHALL, 40, of Pavilions, Windsor, was found guilty of two counts of assaulting a woman on April 23 last year, threatening to disclose private sexual photographs and sending a threatening message. He was ordered to pay £100 in compensation, 30 days of rehabilitation activity and 120 hours of unpaid work. He has also been made subject to a restraining order.

GERARD LAWRENCE, 18, of Lyndhurst Road, Tilehurst, was found guilty of stealing a £200 phone belonging to someone else on March 13 last year and stealing a second mobile phone worth £360 belonging to someone else on the same day. He was made to pay £100 in compensation to complete 60 hours of unpaid work.

JORDAN MADDISEN, 24, of Archer Grove, Arborfield Green, was found guilty of assaulting a police constable on February 19 last year in Wokingham. He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation and £85 in court costs.

SCOTT MAGUIRE, 49, of Fairwater Drive, Woodley, was found guilty of behaving in an indecent manner on August 23 last year, destroying food products to the value of £30 in Marks and Spencer’s in Wokingham Road, Reading, and stealing a pack of sandwiches from the same store. He was fined £614 and ordered to pay £30 in compensation.
