A REPEAT offender has been jailed after breaching a restraining order less than a month after being released from prison.
Daniel Annis, 37, was caught at 1.30am on May 6 this year knocking on the door of a property in Reading he was legally not allowed to attend.
He was previously made subject to a restraining order in November 2021 not to contact a woman who has since said she lives in fear of her safety due to his actions.

However, after being released from prison on April 26, he visited her home and followed her on TikTok.
Judge Sarah Campbell sentenced Annis, of Barnabas Road, Wokingham, to 12 months imprisonment at Reading Crown Court on Monday (June 12).
Opening the case, prosecutor Bethan Chichester said Annis knocked on the door of the property for about five minutes.
However, only the woman’s daughter was inside the home at the time.
A victim impact statement written by the woman read: “Due to Mr Annis’s actions, it has had a really negative impact on us both. I was in fear of [my daughter’s] safety, I felt incredibly anxious and stressed.
“I couldn’t eat or sleep out of fear he would return to the property. We live in fear of bumping into Mr Annis.”

The daughter wrote: “I was too scared to go into Reading on my own. I didn’t know who [Annis] knew and I didn’t feel safe when I was out and about.
“I have found this has really had an impact on my sleep patterns. I would wake up in sweats and would get scared about him turning up a people’s houses at night.
“I would find I was really tired throughout the day which had a further impact on what I could do. I found myself calling my mum and gran all the time to check they are okay.”
The court heard Annis has nine convictions for 17 previous offences including driving a getaway car in 2010 after his co-defendants blasted a shotgun inch from the face of a 59-year-old drug dealer.
He was jailed for 10 years.

Sentencing Annis, Judge Campbell said: “You had only just been released from prison when you attended her address and knocked on the door for some five minutes or so and ultimately you only left because no one answered the door.
“It appears you show no motivation to control your actions in relation to her.”
