A MAN has been arrested after police were alerted to a disturbance near Oxford Road on Monday night (June 19).
Catherine Street in Reading was closed after reports of a disturbance at 8.40pm.
Thames Valley Police officers managed to diffuse the situation. However, a man became aggressive and assaulted an officer.

A 27-year-old has now been arrested and charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Hassan Mohammed , of Catherine Street, Reading, has been charged with one count of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He has since been bailed and is due to appear at Reading Magistrate’s Court on July 19.
