A MAN has been found guilty of raping a woman while she was unconscious in Reading.
Godwin Tsakadi, of Prince of Wales Avenue, Reading was found guilty by a jury at Reading Crown Court of one count of rape last week.
The incident occurred on October 29, 2020 after the 50-year-old and the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had been at a friend’s house after going out drinking.

Speaking to the jury, the woman she did not know she had been raped by Tsakadi until a police officer told her the following July that his DNA had been found on her body.
She had undergone testing after a reporting she had allegedly been sexually assaulted and raped by a second man, Abdallah Sy.
However, the jury acquitted the 43-year-old, of Gabriels Square, Earley, of one count of sexual assault on October 11, 2020 and one count of rape on October 29, 2020.
Tsakadi has been remanded in custody since the jury verdicts and will be sentenced at the same court on July 7.

He denied the offences during the trial, arguing the incident had been ‘consensual’.
