READING'S major shopping centre and car park have been evacuated leaving shoppers and their cars stranded.
At approximately 1:30pm today (July 3) the Oracle, Reading, began to be evacuated.
A police cordon has since been put in place with officers preventing anyone from entering the shopping centre.
Vehicles are currently not allowed to enter the Oracle's Holy Brook car park, and many shoppers reporting not being able to collect their vehicles either.
Police could be seen turning people away from entering both the shopping centre and car park.
One onlooker said they were told disruption could last for 'between two to three hours'.
Staff confirmed the Riverside car park has not been impacted by the disruption.
The Oracle and emergency services have been contacted for more details.
