A READING band has joined the line-up for Reading Festival as the BBC Introducing Stage acts are announced.
Joining headliners Sam Fender, The Killers, Billie Eilish, Foals, and Imagine Dragons in a stage line-up curated by the BBC Introducing team are some of the "hottest new names in music", including local Alternative/Indie band Only The Poets.
Only The Poets, a four person band from Reading, will take to the stage on Saturday, August 26, at Reading Festival, before heading to Leeds Festival on Sunday.
Writing on Twitter, Only The Poets, who claim to be 'proudly from Reading', said: "READING! We’re coming home!! OTP only exists because of this festival, thank you for picking us, can’t wait man!!!!"
Only The Poets were among 27 artists confirmed to play the BBC Introducing Stage at the bank holiday festival, including The Goa Express, Charlotte Plank, Lucia & The Best Boys and Belfast-based punk-techno trio Chalk.
