A long-standing Reading night club has announced that it will be closing it’s doors after years of ‘cheap drinks and drunken adventures’.
Q Club has been a staple within the town's club scene for over a decade - entertaining revellers from across Berkshire.
This weekend will mark an 'end of an era' for many Reading regulars and club goers.
In a Facebook post published on Monday, July 10 Q Club released an emotional message to residents regarding the closure.
They said: “Let’s have a moment of silence for our fallen soldier.
“RIP QCLUB, thank you for all the messy nights, mnq’s, cheap drinks, drunken adventures, late night kebabs & a lifetime of memories.
“We love all the support we have been shown over the years but it’s now time for bigger and better things!
An ambiguous comment by the team however has left a question mark on what is to come. They added: “Big news to come in September but for now… it’s goodbye.”
The team at Q Club have released tickets for both their closing party on Friday, July 14 and a ‘Q Club Funeral’ on Saturday, July 15 which will run from 9pm to 3am.
Reading club goers commented on how much they would remember the special moments and friendships that were created throughout the years.
There is now much speculation on what will replace the Friar Street night club.
What would you like to see replace it?
