Europe’s leading company for indoor go-karting has officially re-opened its Reading venue following a major £1.35 million renovation.
Featuring their brand-new electric track and go-karts, the revamped leisure venue is fully equipped for all abilities on the track.
TeamSport Reading will also be the third track in the UK to introduce the ‘Combat Kart’ experience. This is an interactive activity where racing meets gaming on the tack, allowing up to 8 people to race it out on the virtual track.
Dom Gaynor, CEO of TeamSport, said: “We are proud to be re-opening our Reading circuit and are thrilled with the new electric fleet of karts. We have remodelled the track to make space for an additional experience, Combat Karts. This is a unique interactive adventure that combines the thrill of karting with gaming and is the third TeamSport location to have this experience.”
“In addition to the track changes, we have re-branded the site to TeamSport E-Karting and have been able to redesign areas including the spectator area, changing rooms and have even added in new activities such as arcades.”
Reading will be the first track in the south to hold Combat Karts. The immersive experience is described as a ‘video game come to life’ played over a series of nail-biting laps.
In regards to Combat Karts Dominic went on to say: “This has been a really enjoyable journey for all of us at TeamSport. We have had the ability to create a totally new and immersive experience for people to enjoy with friends and family and we are thrilled that we have had opportunity to launch this to our guests.”
