A MAN who breached his restraining order to ‘make a fuss’ over his partners birthday has been jailed for 13 months.
Serbastian Serban was jailed after a sentence hearing on Wednesday (July 26) at Reading Crown Court for two counts of breaching a restraining order in Reading.
The court heard that the 21-year-old breached the order put in place on May 14, 2021 between November 25, 2022 and November 27, 2022 by contacting his ex-partner which he was prohibited from doing.

However, his defence barrister stated Serban had attended her property to ‘make a fuss’ over her birthday.
There was a further breach between December 2022 and January 2023 but the prosecution stated the facts ‘are somewhat scarce’.
Serban, who has eight previous convictions for 16 offences, has been in custody since February and stood trial for further allegations earlier this year.
But the proceedings collapsed after the prosecution witness refused to provide any further evidence after day two and Serban was acquitted of all charges.
Serban, of Symphony Close, Edgeware, had already pleaded guilty to the breaches of the restraining order and admitted through his defence barrister that he had ‘behaved abhorrently’.

Recorder John Bate-Williams urged the defendant to stay out of trouble and introduced another restraining order against the victim which will be valid until further order.
