READING has been voted one of the best nights out in the UK based on overall 'good vibes'.
A survey asked 2,000 residents in the UK's largest cities to rate the different 'vibes' in their area, such as sense of style, music, and food, which placed Reading in the top five.
Commissioned by tech company, Honor, the study placed Reading in first place for the South East, followed by Brighton.
Newcastle came in top spot of best overall 'vibe', followed by Cardiff, Liverpool, Reading and Edinburgh making the top five list, respectively.
Chief executive Bond Zhang said: “A good vibe not only enhances the quality of life for residents but also entices tourists and businesses, leading to economic growth and cultural exchange.
“The importance of a city having a good vibe cannot be overstated, for it is the beating heart that fuels its success and makes it a place truly worth calling home.”
Reading was given an overall score of 7.1 out of 10, scoring highly in the food, nightlife, pubs and sense of style categories.
According to Reading residents, popular spots for 'good vibes' is Purple Turtle and Blue Collar corner.
