A JUNCTION in Reading town centre is set to reopen earlier than expected after two weeks of roadworks.
Repair works on the cobbled area outside Metro Bank and Caffe Nero caused a full closure of the junction between St Mary's Butts, West Street and Oxford Road in Reading town.
The closure was due to be in place from Monday, July 24 to Monday, August 7, however it will reopen ahead of schedule.
The four-way junction will reopen at 8am on Sunday, August 6.
Reading Borough Council said: "The project has included removal of damaged kerbs, resurfacing by Broad Street Mall, and carriageway repairs in St Mary's Butts."
