The road was closed since the early hours of the morning while an investigation took place and residents were interviewed by officers.

However, the road reopened at about 7am this morning. Balmore Park Surgery, which was forced to close yesterday, has also reopened.

In a statement on Facebook, it said: “The police investigation is now being moved and we can open the surgery as normal today.”

There have been no updates from police on whether the boys have yet been officially charged.
