The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

SHAUN DANIELS, 40, of Grampian Way, Langley, was found guilty of two counts of failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders register in November, 2022, and January this year. He was guilty found guilty of possessing a knife at Terminal 5, Heathrow Airport on November 5 last year, entering a security-restricted area of the airport – namely a door which takes you from landside to airside of an aerodrome, possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, on the same day, and failing to surrender to police/court bail the following month. He was jailed for 22 weeks and the knife and drug were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.

STEPHEN PEACOCK, 52, of Southampton Street, Reading, was found guilty of stealing a pair of GHD hair straighteners to the value of £299 from John Lewis in Reading on January 21 this year. He was given a community order to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity and pay £149.50 in compensation. He is also excluded from entering the shop for 12 months. There was also a victim surcharge of £114.

JOHN MCGUIRE, 43, of Russell Street, Reading, indicated guilty to stealing GHD hair straighteners to the value of £299 from John Lewis in Reading on January 21 this year alongside STEPHEN PEACOCK. He was given 40 hours of unpaid work and most provide samples for testing for nine months. He is also prohibited from entering the store for 12 months.

ANDREW GRAY, 47, of Norfolk Road, Reading, was found guilty of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress on June 8 last year. He was fined £440. There was also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £44.

SAMEER KHAWAJA, 57, of Basingstoke Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on October 19 last year. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and fined £120. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48.

GAVIN GLEESON, 36, of Ringwood Road, Tilehurst, pleaded guilty to drug driving on October 11 last year in Reading in George Street, Caversham. He was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 12 months. There were also court costs of £85.

CRAIG BILLING, 32, of Hanbury Drive, Calcot, Reading, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on November 23 last year in Romany Lane, Tilehurst. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £215. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £166.

MARK BUSH, 19, of Cartmel Drive, Woodley, Wokingham, pleaded guilty to drug driving on November 8 last year in Park Lane, Woodley. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £320. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £128.
